When can you come and attend to the problem?

Please call or email to set up a time and we will make an appointment that suits you. If we are unable to meet your availability, we will let you know immediately so that you can make other arrangements

What if you can't fix it?

We are often able to fix the problem within the first visit as we carry a number of spares in the vehicles. However, if we need to collect materials from the nearest merchants to complete the work, we won't charge for the travelling time. Should we need to order parts or materials and a visit is required on another day, we may charge for that visit. WE WON'T CHARGE WHERE WE CANNOT PRESENT A SOLUTION.

What areas do you cover?

Our general maintanace coverage extends from Muizenberg to the City Bowl and west towards Goodwood. Further travelling distances carry a discretionary fuel surcharge.

What warranty do you provide?

We cover all work for 1 year except for drain clearing. Due to the nature of existing drainage we are unable to gaurentee unblocking for a year  unless new drains have been laid around the problem areas.

Are you insured?

We have public liability cover and accidental workmanship cover.

How can you help us help you?

You, our customer, can now help us to help you. By sending a picture of the problem and giving a brief discription in the email, we might be able to diagnose the problem from the office and ensure we bring the correct materials for the repair. We could even advise that we need to order the part directly thus saving you the initial visit costs. The picture doesn't need to be perfect and a camera phone with decent light should do the trick. Look for any names or serial numbers on the item to help us identify it. If it is a toilet problem then (if possible) take a photo of the inside of the cistern. This will help us save time and save you money.

Working Hours

7am - 5pm                        Monday - Friday

Please contact us should you have a plumbing emergency after normal office hours. We are usually able to assist either over the phone or by carrying out an after hours visit.

Plumbing Tips
  • Know where your mains shut off valve is and check you are able to use it.

  • Attend to dripping taps. The sooner they are repaired, the less stress on the tap.

  • 5 drips a minute=1 liter water wasted per day

  • Remove scale buildup in a shower head by soaking it in vinegar for 5 minutes. If you don't want to remove the head fill a small bag (ziplock bag) with viniger and fit it over the head with an elastic band. Other scale areas can be fixed by placing a vinegar soaked cloth over the problem area.

  • To save energy, you can turn your geyser to 55° celcius, invest in a well fitted geyser blanket and insulate your hot pipe-work.

  • For an environmentally friendly drain cleaner, use baking soda and vineger. 1/4 cup of baking soda to 1/2 cap of vineger will help unclog kitchen and bathroom drains. This may not be enough for toilet drains though.

  • Know where the drain access points are in the garden (manholes) and periodically inspect inside them. This will keep the lids loose and could prevent a costly problem if a fault is found early.

  • Insulate pipes to prevent freezing. Freezing not only causes inconvenience but also creates stress on the pipe-work.

  • Be kind to your drains. Oil, fat and grease clogs up the pipe-work. Only use the toilet for toilet related waste.

Plumbing Myths

  • That leak will fix itself. It won't and if it does, it is means scale buildup has plugged it and it could leak again at any time.

  • Geysers are built to last. Most geysers on the market are not built to last.

  • All plumbing is the same. Most plumbing principles date back centuries but plumbing continues to go through many changes both in products and best practice methods.

  • All plumbers are the same. I hope we are not. Do some research before choosing a plumber to enter your home or business. Know what you are paying and what you are paying for. Some plumbers charge extra if specialised equipment is used.
